Pete Wilson

Behaviour Mentor and Tutor

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that no two days in education are ever the same and that's probably why I enjoy it so much!

With over 20 years in the music industry and more than 15 years working in education, I've dedicated my career to inspiring, supporting and developing young people across the Midlands. During that time, I've had the privilege of working in a variety of schools throughout the East Midlands, building positive learning environments where young people feel valued, respected and able to succeed.

Behaviour management is my specialist area, and I'm passionate about helping learners understand that success isn't just about qualifications it's about confidence, resilience and believing in yourself. I believe in building strong relationships, maintaining realistic expectations and creating an atmosphere where every young person feels safe, supported and able to thrive.

Before moving into education, I spent over two decades in the music industry, which taught me a huge amount about creativity, communication and teamwork. It also taught me that, much like a good band, every successful classroom needs rhythm, harmony and occasionally someone keeping everyone in tune!

Being part of the team at Conquer Learning is something I'm incredibly proud of. We put relationships and personalised learning at the heart of everything we do, and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing a young person who has lost confidence begin to believe in themselves again and realise their potential.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me watching or playing cricket and football, or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. I love cooking and firmly believe that bringing people together over good food solves most problems. Some dishes turn out to be masterpieces, others become learning experiences – but that's all part of the fun!

At the end of the day, I believe that every young person deserves someone who believes in them, and I feel privileged to play a small part in helping them achieve more than they ever thought possible.
