Conquering Challenges, Creating Opportunities

Safe spaces

Our settings are safe spaces, encouraging confidence, security and help us build positive relationships with young adults.

Conquer Learning

A trauma-informed approach

We provide a nurturing and personalised education experience for learners who have struggled in traditional settings. Our approach focuses on building trust, confidence, and meaningful progress across academic, emotional, and social development, helping young people feel supported and valued in their learning journey.

Collaborative learning

Conquer Learning works closely with alternative provisions and trusted partners to deliver tailored, high-quality support that meets each learner's individual needs. Through collaboration with The Insight Project, learners benefit from enhanced personal development, emotional wellbeing, and engagement. Our partnerships create a joined-up, holistic approach that combines academic, vocational, and personal development, helping learners re-engage, progress, and achieve positive long-term outcomes.

✨ MEET THE TEAM ✨

Meet Jamie Richards - Maths Teacher and DDSL

At Conquer Learning, we’re passionate about building a team that shares our vision of Conquering Challenges, Creating Opportunities.

Jamie brings a wealth of experience working with children and young people across alternative provision, mainstream education and community settings. Before spending ten years in a mainstream primary school, he worked within an alternative provision supporting young people aged 7–16, developing extensive expertise in behaviour support, personalised learning and helping pupils re-engage with education.

Throughout his career, Jamie has been dedicated to supporting children who find education challenging. In mainstream education, he led on the Personal, Social and Mental Health curriculum, ensuring it met the needs of pupils who required additional support. His calm, patient and understanding approach enables him to build strong relationships and create environments where young people feel safe, valued and able to succeed.

Away from work, Jamie enjoys keeping active through football, American football and fitness. He also loves travelling and spent time working in New York, an experience that broadened his perspective both personally and professionally. Most importantly, he’s a proud dad to two young children, who continue to inspire him every day.

At Conquer Learning, Jamie is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and is beginning his National Professional Qualification (NPQ) journey as he works towards becoming our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). His passion for inclusive education and commitment to ensuring every young person receives the support they deserve make him a valuable part of our team.

We’re excited to have Jamie helping shape the future of Conquer Learning and supporting every learner to reach their full potential.
